Privacy Policy
This explains what Professor GLO collects about you, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and how to see and delete it.
Contents
1. Who is responsible
GLO runs Professor GLO and decides how your information is used. Send /feedback in Discord and begin your message with LEGAL, PRIVACY, COPYRIGHT, REPORT or DISPUTE so it reaches the right place. That works even before you press I agree, while you are a member of a server the Service is set up in; the message is kept only so GLO can read it and act on it. There is a limit on how many /feedback messages are kept from one person in a day; past it the bot says the message was not saved.
2. What it collects
When you use the bot in a server it is set up in, or in direct messages as a member of one of those servers, it receives and keeps the following, subject to the agreement and limits below:
- Who you are on Discord: your Discord ID and the usernames, display names and server nicknames you have used, with when each was first seen.
- What you send and what it replies: your question, the answer, and which lesson sheets the answer used. An image you attach is read to answer you and is not kept; only the text is. When you order a picture in a message, the words of your order and the bot’s reply are saved with your conversation, and when a picture is posted a short text description of it is saved there too; an order made with the /image command is not saved there. Either way the picture file is posted to Discord and is not kept by the bot.
- Where and when: the server, channel or direct message, and the time.
- What it learns to help you: a saved conversation (so follow-ups make sense), a short list of the topics you ask about and what has already been explained to you, and your settings (answer style, answer model, thinking effort, image model and formatting).
- Reminders and watches you ask it to set.
- Rules you give it: rules for how it should answer you, and any rule it offered to save that you have not answered yet. Each is kept with when it was saved or offered, whether that was in a server or a direct message, and how it came to be saved (from your message or from a button you tapped). There is a limit on how many are kept; past it, the oldest is dropped.
- Notes it keeps about you: things you ask it to remember about yourself, and lasting preferences it notes from what you say (for example the name you want to be called or the market you trade). Each is kept with when it was saved and whether that was in a server or a direct message. /memory shows the newest of them, and the newest are carried into later answers (for a note from a direct message, see below on which answers). Notes and rules count toward the same limit; past it, the oldest is dropped.
- Feedback accepted through /feedback, subject to the daily limit.
- Usage counters: how many questions you have asked and pictures you have ordered, and what they cost, used to enforce the usage limits. If GLO sets a personal usage limit for you, that setting is kept too, with your Discord ID and display name.
- Your agreement: that you accepted these documents, which version, and when, whether you pressed the button in a server or a direct message, a fingerprint of the text you saw, the Discord IDs of the notice message and of the button press, and the time you last deleted your data (or, if the record was ever damaged and had to be rebuilt, the time of the rebuild). Before you agree, only your Discord ID and the times the notice was shown to you are kept, so it is not repeated on every message, plus the time you last deleted your data, or the time the record was rebuilt, if either has happened; the one addition is a /feedback message that begins with a contact word (section 1), which is kept so GLO can act on it, subject to a limit on how many /feedback messages are kept from one person in a day; past it the bot says the message was not saved. The bot’s server log also notes that a notice was sent to you, never the text of your message.
- Summary reports: a nightly report GLO reads, which can quote the first part of a question the bot blocked or could not answer.
It answers only when spoken to. To deliver a keyword watch that someone has set, the bot checks messages in its allowed channels that were written by members who have agreed; it does not keep messages that do not match. A message that does match is quoted to the member who set the watch and is logged with that delivery.
A rule you give the bot in a direct message about how to answer you (for example "keep answers short") can also be followed when it answers you in a server channel. The bot is instructed not to repeat or mention such a rule there, but the answer is shaped by it, so do not put anything private in a rule. A fact about yourself that you tell it in a direct message (for example the name you want to be called or the market you trade), a rule from a direct message that mentions your name, money, an account or your personal life, and anything else the bot noted about you in a direct message are used only when it answers you in a direct message. What is treated as a rule, and what as a fact about you or as something personal, is decided partly by an AI model and partly by looking for certain words and amounts, and either can get one wrong.
It does not ask for passwords, card numbers or account numbers, and you should not send them. If you do, ask for them to be deleted. Do not put another person’s private details in a picture order; the words of an order go to the AI providers in section 4.
This bot does not track you across other websites or services, and it does not respond to browser do-not-track signals because it does not run in a browser. No other party collects information about you through this bot except the providers listed in section 4.
3. Why it uses it
To answer your questions, make the pictures you order and remember context; to keep the service safe, block abuse and enforce usage limits; to fix problems and improve the lessons, using questions the bot could not answer, which are kept under a short code derived from your Discord ID (a pseudonym, not anonymous) so that /memory forget can remove them; to keep proof that you agreed to the Terms; and to follow the law.
Where the law asks for a legal basis, these are the bases GLO intends to rely on, and they may change after review: answering you, making the pictures you order and keeping the conversation rests on the contract you accept in the Terms; the topic list, safety and limits, fixing and improving the lessons, proof of agreement and feedback rest on GLO’s legitimate interest in running and protecting the Service; and following the law rests on legal obligation.
It does not sell your information, does not show you ads, and does not share it with data brokers. GLO does not itself train AI models on your messages; what the AI providers in section 4 do with them has not been verified. The topic list in section 2 is used to pitch explanations at the level you have already covered, not to assess your finances, positions or what suits you. The topic list and your recent conversation are included in what the AI providers see when they write and check your answers, and so are your rules and notes.
4. Who else sees it
The bot shares information only with the services it needs to run:
- Discord, where you use the bot. Discord’s own Privacy Policy covers what Discord does.
- AI model providers. Your question, the conversation it needs, your topic list, your rules and notes, and any image you attach are sent to third-party AI models to write and check answers. When you order a picture, the words of your order are sent to an AI model that checks the request and to an AI image model that makes the picture, and the finished picture is sent to an AI model that describes it so it can be checked before it is posted. The bot does not add your Discord ID or name to those picture requests, but anything personal you write in the order is in them. Today those models come from Google, OpenAI and Anthropic, reached through a routing service (OpenRouter), which may use other hosting companies to run them. Their handling is governed by their own terms; GLO has not verified what each one keeps or trains on, and has not set request-level limits on it. Do not send anything you would not want an AI provider to process.
- A web search provider (Brave Search). When an answer needs current information, the bot sends a short search query, written by the AI from your question and so possibly containing words from it, to Brave Search and reads back titles, links and short snippets. The bot does not add your Discord ID or name to the request, but the query is written from your question, so anything personal in your question can be in it. Brave’s own terms govern what it does with the query; GLO has not verified what it keeps.
- A chart provider (Jed1 Quant). Chart requests send the market symbol, timeframe and selected chart settings to Jed1 Quant, using GLO’s partner credential. The bot does not add your Discord ID, name or question text to that chart request. Jed1 Quant’s own terms govern it; GLO has not verified what it keeps. The resulting image and reading can also be sent to the AI model providers above.
- Hosting and backup providers. The bot runs on a rented server. Member data is kept in a private online code repository and in local backups, so that it can be recovered. Only people GLO has given access to can open them.
- GLO’s operators. The people who run GLO can read the log of conversations and questions, direct messages included, to run, secure and improve the Service.
- Jed1 Quant. An owner of Jed1 Quant, which works with GLO, has access to the private repository where the bot’s data is backed up, so that person can read what is kept there, including the log of conversations and questions, direct messages included.
- People the law requires, if GLO must disclose information to obey the law or protect people’s safety.
- A successor, if the Service is transferred to someone who takes over these commitments.
Pages the bot builds for you are kept on its own web server at a long unguessable link and become eligible for removal after 30 days. Removal runs when a later page is saved, so a page can stay up somewhat longer. Anyone who has the link can open the page.
5. Automated answers
Answers are written by AI and checked by automated rules and AI checks. Pictures are made by AI, and both the request and the finished picture are checked by AI before a picture is posted. The bot makes no decision about you that has a legal or similarly significant effect.
6. How long it is kept
Today the bot has no automatic expiry: your saved conversation, learned-topics profile, settings, rules and notes (within the limit in section 2), feedback, reminders and log entries are kept until you delete them (see section 7) or GLO deletes them. Generated pages become eligible for removal after 30 days (section 4). Usage counters that enforce the daily and weekly limits, a personal usage limit if GLO set one for you, and the record of your agreement are kept after a deletion, as section 7 says.
Backups are copies kept for safety and are not used to answer members. Within the access and repeat limits in section 7, /memory forget tries to remove your data from each store listed in section 7, one at a time, and tells you if any store could not be cleared. It does not reach copies held by Discord or the AI providers (a picture the bot posted for you stays in Discord until it is deleted there; to ask GLO to remove one, use the contact in section 1 and begin your message with REPORT), the summary reports GLO writes from the log (which can quote the first part of a question), your name or Discord ID where it appears inside another member’s saved messages, or a message of yours that was quoted in another member’s watch alert. Older copies can remain in backups and in the history of the private code repository; if you ask, GLO will make reasonable efforts to remove them and will not restore your deleted data into the running service.
A reminder or watch you set under an older version of these documents can still be delivered until you agree to the new version.
7. Seeing and deleting your information
See it: while you are a member of a server the Service is set up in, /memory show shows what the bot has learned about you.
Delete it: /memory forget deletes your saved conversation, learned-topics profile and settings, your name card, your feedback, your usage history and reminders, and your entries in the bot’s operations log and unanswered-question log. It also deletes your rules and notes, and any rule it offered to save that you have not answered yet. /memory forget and /feedback work while you are a member of a server the Service is set up in; once you are in none of them the bot cannot receive your request. There is a limit on how often /memory forget can be repeated. It does not delete the record that you agreed to these documents, the short-term counters that enforce the daily and weekly limits, a personal usage limit if GLO set one for you (your Discord ID, your display name and the limit), or pages built for you, and it does not clear the bot’s server log, a technical file GLO reads to fix problems, which has lines that include your Discord ID (for example that a notice was sent to you, that an error happened on one of your messages, that you ran /memory forget, or that a picture you ordered was made, refused, withheld or failed, with the reason and, for a withheld picture, a short description of it). The agreement record holds your Discord ID, each version you agreed to with the time, whether you pressed the button in a server or a direct message, a fingerprint of the text you saw, the Discord IDs of the notice message and of the button press, the times the notice was shown to you, and the time you last deleted your data or, if the record was ever damaged, the time it was rebuilt (it is what stops an answer already being written from saving itself afterwards); it holds no message text. The counters hold your Discord ID and spend figures. Pages expire on their own (section 4).
Anything else: to ask for a copy of your information, a correction, removal from backups, or to object to a use, send /feedback in Discord and begin your message with LEGAL, PRIVACY, COPYRIGHT, REPORT or DISPUTE so it reaches the right place. That works even before you press I agree, while you are a member of a server the Service is set up in; the message is kept only so GLO can read it and act on it. There is a limit on how many /feedback messages are kept from one person in a day; past it the bot says the message was not saved.
The bot takes your identity from Discord itself, so it can only show or delete your own information.
Where the law of the place you live gives you privacy rights — for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California — GLO honors them as this section describes, including access, correction, deletion and objection, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. GLO does not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
8. Age
The bot is for adults aged 18 or older. If GLO learns that a younger person has used it, GLO will delete what it holds about them, using the same steps as /memory forget. To report this, see section 1.
9. Security
Most of what the bot keeps about a member (the saved conversation, topic list, settings, name card, feedback, usage history, reminders and the agreement record) is in separate files, one per member; your rules and notes are kept in the same file as your saved conversation. The log of conversations and questions and the unanswered-question log are shared files with many members’ entries in them, and the summary reports GLO reads are built from them. GLO limits who can open the server and backups. A keyword watch another member has set is a further exception: a message that matches is quoted to that member. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, GLO will tell you and Discord as the law and Discord’s terms require.
10. Where it is processed
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where the bot’s hosting and AI providers operate, which may have different privacy laws from yours.
11. Changes
GLO may update this policy. The version number is shown on the page, and you will be asked to agree again when a change is material.
